BIO
STREET DREAMS is a Rock 'N' Roll band based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Its sound, generally described as lively and passionate, is a whirlwind of many Rock
sub-genres, powered by emotional lyrics, surges of aggression, and woven with harmonies. Their 2021 4-track debut EP entitled, Do You Believe In Rock 'N' Roll? challenges its fans to dig deep and recall a time when Rock reigned supreme, and speculate where Rock 'N' Roll can travel to in the 2020's decade and beyond. It also gives a glimpse of where the band's upcoming full-length LP will take its listeners: from their smooth and under control electro-synth opener "Now Or Never," to their out-right, sweat-in-your-face Rock show single, "Rock 'N' Roll Music." The band's darker underside and instrumental mastery is on full display with their follow-up, "Sacrifice Ur Love," aggressively flowing through all three guitar, bass, and drum solos within the self-produced 3-minute sprint. The track debuted alongside its self-written and directed music video on May 7, 2021 to fans worldwide during their exclusive Instagram Live event. Finally, the record doesn't conclude until the band's folk and electric new-wave mashup "17 minutes" takes listeners on a 7+ minute rollercoaster ride where not a single emotion or moment is wasted.
The band followed their well-received EP with the 2022 single, "The Good Lord," a modern day throwback with call-and-response verses that harks back to Rock 'N' Roll's gospel roots. The song's heavy lyrics explores philosophical questions, symbolized in it's lyric music video, by rethinking God as not only a father, pondering what will happen in a climate-affected world, and wondering how we as humans could ever know these answers.
The following year, front-man Jules wrote and recorded all the parts of what many call, "an instant Christmas classic," releasing "Xmas Is Here" in December of 2023. The song shines red and green lights onto the real reason for the season, while blending Punk influences and Reggaeton rhythms in the fun, yet nostalgia-provoking, catchy anthem.
The band's 2024 project, "Will You Love Me Tonite?" featuring the silky-soulful vocals of Kat Terrienne, was inspired by the sad realities of war and having to leave loved ones behind at a moment's notice. Its Tik Tok and IG formatted music video, all 1:20 seconds of it, was designed to reach all corners of the world in order to inspire hope and change for peace and a better tomorrow.
STREET DREAMS continues to record and perform in the LA area and is set to carry the torch of
Rock 'N' Roll music into the future.

SOME INFLUENCES

STREET DREAMS guitarist & lead singer, Jules McFly, was born in Miami Beach, FL, and raised in the neighborhood of Kendall. He would move on to front his first band, The High 5, with his good friend Eto in a Jamaica Queens, NYC basement while attending St. John's. Life brought him back home to the 305, but a visit to the greatest music town of all, New Orleans, LA, pulled him to move there soon after. As a Frenchmen Street regular, his musical expression expanded to playing the bass guitar and drums when he joined the punk band, Interior Decorating, with his friends Eric Bonney and Jaciel Beltre. After 3 glorious years in the 'Nolia, Jules continued on his musical journey and tried his hand in Nashville, TN. For one year, he collaborated with like-minded musicians while soaking in as much music as possible. Ready for the big lights, he set his sights out west to LA, the city of Angels, where he founded his current and life-long project... STREET DREAMS.
